Magnolia Branch Wildlife Reserve

Tubing time!

Picture yourself floating down the river on an inner tube, soaking up the sun in the peaceful quiet of nature. The sound of the water as it meanders in a steady flow has you closing your eyes and sighing. The birds make harmonious music and you listen to their calls. Doesn’t that sound so relaxing? If you enjoy the outdoors, then Magnolia Branch Wildlife Reserve is the place for you.

Tubing season in Atmore has begun here, and what better way to take advantage of the beautiful Alabama weather than to gather up the family or a few friends and set out to lounge on Big Escambia Creek, which runs through the Magnolia Branch park.

There are other leisurely activities, too. Canoeing, kayaking and swimming are available for your enjoyment. Tubes cost only $5 per person, per trip down the creek, which usually takes about two hours. Lots of guests love to picnic at Magnolia Branch and just hang out and enjoy the day. Canoes are $25 per canoe and kayaks are $15.

And on Saturdays and Sundays, you can also enjoy unlimited rides down the zip line and play on the blob with a $5 all-day pass.

Rather stay on land than the water? No problem. Explore the hiking trails or bring your horse and ride the trails at your own pace. Or just camp in one of our 82 RV sites and unlimited primitive sites.

So come on out for some fun in the sun. Park entrance is only $5 for ages 13 and older and just $1 for anyone younger than 12. Magnolia Branch Wildlife Reserve is at 24 Big Creek Road in Atmore, Ala.
